See Someone Agrees with Me

More to my suggestion that we need more engineers in Congress. I just read Tom Friedman's column in today's Post and Courier. Tom is an incredible columnist for the New York times and mostly writes about foreign policy. I highly recommend you following his columns to give you perspective on global affairs.

Today, he was contrasting China to the USA. One of the points he makes is that China seems to have a plan while the US stays on the defense. Debatable, sure. Here's the statement that caught my eye. Friedman says in paragraph two, "Talk to U.S business executives and they'll often comment on how many of China's leaders are engineers, people who can talk to you about numbers, long-term problem-solving and the national interest-not a bunch of lawyers looking for a sound bite to get through the evening news."
