Prayer Ripples and Safe Drinking Water

I received this email from a friend at Water Missions International, a Christian engineering ministry located in Charleston, SC.

Dear WMI Prayer Partners,
We received a first-hand report of the desperate need for rain in Kenya from Pastor Simon of Kenya who visited the WMI offices this past week. The extended drought in the northern regions surrounding Morinjoi, Kenya makes the presence of the Water Missions International ‘cleansing machine’ joyous news to the tribes who are without water or food. News is spreading quickly by mouth and more and more people are traveling by foot as many as six hours a day – one way - to reach the source of safe water.

Water Missions technology has opened the door for reaching the Samburu tribe that has previously been unreached with the Gospel. The first answer to the question “Do you know Jesus?” was “No, perhaps the next village has heard of this man.” The people did not even realize that the pastor was speaking of a Savior. As a result of the gift of safe water, village chiefs and elders have told the people to welcome the newly installed Samburan pastor who operates the LWTS™ and his message about the God who loves them enough to send this cleansing machine. The church that was birthed on the day the LWTS™ was installed has quickly grown to 50 adults and 60 children.

The story of Morinjoi, Kenya is an incredible witness to God’s grace for all nations. We take great joy in seeing WMI’s vision of providing safe water and an opportunity to hear the Living Water message of Christ achieved with such an overwhelming response in the midst of a dry and thirsty land.

Thank you for your faithful prayers as we seek to multiply this story of hope to those who remain without safe water and the knowledge of our Lord.

Join us in praising God for His wonderful works!
